Never Give Up!

The first glimmer of an idea that led to my latest novel 'Fortune's Promise' happened nearly eighteen years ago in a garden near Oxford, UK. I had just emerged to full creativity following a divorce and was taking part in a poetry workshop. We were given an exercise to do, but I found my attention drifting, following the pictures in my head of a young girl in regency dress escaping from a window. I had no idea who she was - or where she was going. She stayed with me. Fragments of the story gradually emerged and went through various lengths and incarnations until the final version that was published on 5th March 2017 by Endeavour Press.
