Never, Never, Never give up……The art of perseverance.
Those who have achieved their dreams did not do it overnight. In most cases they set out for something not just difficult but something that was considered by most impossible at some point. I read somewhere that to persevere is not one long race but a series of short ones. I assume the meaning refers to that of obstacles one incurs during the process of getting to the finish line.
To complete a race you have to pace yourself. You must go the distance. Its hard work but if you stay focused anything is possible. My daughter asks me on a continual basis if I think she can do something. My response is consistently the same answer, “ABSOLUTELY, you can truly achieve anything you believe if you set your mind to it.” The question is are you willing to do the work despite the challenges? Are you willing to push past those that tell you can’t? Are you willing to press on at the darkest point? Its always darkest before the dawn. You may have failures but you have only truly failed when you quit, not when you continue.
In the Disney movie “Hercules” there is a line in the song, “I have often dreamed of a far off place, where a hero’s welcome will be waiting for me…It may take a lifetime but somehow I’ll see it through…I’ll stay on track and when I go the distance my journey is complete.
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out. Never, Never, Never Give up. As for me….. today I think I will conquer the world.
