Embrace the chaos, love the hustle, and remember: bosses have meetings, but legends have stories
It is a well-known fact that the year 2022 has been a tough one for many people, and I am no exception. Like many others, I struggled, personally and professionally. However, in the face of adversity, I found solace in the kindness and generosity of my connections on LinkedIn. If you know me or follow me on social media you know I like to draw superheroes... but in reality, I should just draw normal people, they're the real heroes, they help people they don't know, even though they have their own struggles
I had posted a request for help on the platform, asking for assistance in finding new business opportunities. To my surprise, I was inundated with messages of support and offers of help. From former colleagues to complete strangers, the outpouring of love and support was overwhelming.
It is easy to become disheartened and lose faith in humanity when faced with difficult times. However, this experience has reminded me that there is still so much good in the world. Despite the actions of individuals like Vladimir Putin, who have caused immense harm and suffering, there are countless individuals who are willing to go above and beyond to help others in need.
In my case, the actions of Putin and his administration directly impacted my business. As a founding member of Tech Link Ukraine, I saw firsthand how the turn of events in the country affected the tech industry and the talent within it. The knock-on effect of the war on the global economy made investors cautious about investing in start-ups, which meant the start-ups didn’t have the money to hire, which in turn affected me and many others in the industry.
But despite these challenges, I am grateful for the kindness and generosity of my LinkedIn connections, who have helped to restore my faith in humanity. Their actions have reminded me that in the darkest of times, there is always hope and that the goodness of people will always prevail.
In conclusion, as we go through life, we will face many challenges and difficulties, but it's important to remember that amidst all the negativity, there are good people out there who are willing to lend a helping hand. This experience has taught me that even in the bleakest of times, there is always going to be a helping hand available. Humanity is great, and I am grateful to be part of it. If ever anyone needs help, I will try my best to help.
