Coolest Thing in Delaware
The Bloom Energy Server was included among the coolest things made in Delaware - a contest hosted by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce that celebrates the most exciting products produced in the state. We made it to the final four, and while we didn’t receive top honors as the Coolest Thing Made in Delaware, we were among many innovative products that reinforced the ingenuity and creativity present in the state of endless discoveries.
For over a decade, Delaware has been the proud home of one of our state-of-the-art facilities, serving as the hub for our Energy Server? and electrolyzer production line, enabling us to ship our platform technology worldwide.
Embracing the Future of Data Centers
This March was a celebratory time not just in terms of Bloom’s designation as one of the coolest things made in Delaware but also for International Data Center Day , March 20. International Data Center Day celebrates the infrastructure that powers our digital world. With the growing reliance on data-driven technologies, the importance of data centers cannot be overstated. As more devices become connected, the demand for data processing and storage will only continue to rise. International Data Center Day reminds us of these facilities' vital role in keeping our digital lives running smoothly. New technologies like the Bloom Energy Server can better serve these platforms and provide the necessary computing power.
Another highlight of the month was International Women’s Day on March 8, which celebrates women’s contributions in all aspects of life. Specifically in the data center industry, the future of technology will be driven by innovation, and innovation thrives when we have diverse perspectives and talents at the table. By encouraging and supporting women in fields like STEM, we can tap into a wealth of untapped potential and drive progress forward even faster. International Women's Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women in tech and telecom.
AI Takes Center Stage at NVIDIA GTC
This last month, the Bloom team was at NVIDIA GTC at the SAP Center (powered by Bloom’s fuel cells) in San Jose, during which CEO Jensen Huang's flagship keynote unveiled the company's latest innovations in artificial intelligence, accelerated computing and data center technologies. Much of Huang's keynote focused on NVIDIA's bold bets on AI, which he dubbed "the most important technology of our time." You can read a full event recap for all the announcements.
Advancements like these will ripple across the entire data center industry, as GTC 2024 was a landmark event that showcased NVIDIA's determination to drive the AI computing revolution. With the surging power demands of increasing AI usage, data center operators and telecommunications professionals must consider alternative power sources like the Bloom Energy Server to best meet their and their clients’ needs. Already, 95% of all stationary fuel cells installed in the US since 2018 are Bloom Energy Servers with over 1GW of on-site primary power generation solutions for hundreds of customers.
