Networks for Future || Things that will change in 2020

Networks for Future || Things that will change in 2020

In the past, networking was centered on box-level interoperability and was operated manually.

This was complex, difficult to operate, inefficient, error-prone and non-scalable. but in the current date and time, our industry is reaching the limits of value creation for the consumer market and Its universal thought that network automation is inevitable, but only automation is not enough, adaptation to changing demand of industry to opensource could ready infrastructure capable of leveraging all the advantages of SDN and NFV is a must.

Embedding SDN , NFV, and automation into implementations and operations will require a reimagining of the network architecture and digital platforms. it will also require simplifying networking and integrate with other parts of IT and Business to enable digital transformation.

Digitization requires applications and other components of IT to be integrated with the network to deliver business outcomes.

It is not possible to achieve it by bespoke integration of discrete networking elements.

future networks will involve having more than more interface to interact with devices, which will require a rich set of APIs and a developer ecosystem

some of the key highlights are as follows:

?Networks are inevitably changing in terms of software and technologies, Therefore things we do now will also change with time.

?SDN, SD-WANs, virtualization, and automation are turning the networking landscape upside down.

?Today, a network engineer or admin admits that they no longer can rely on their networking skills, but now needs to embrace coding and scripting.

?SDN, virtualization, and automation at their core are based on code which helps automation and virtualization easier and manageable tasks for DevOps adaptation...

?There are a lot of open-source automation tools like Ansible and Netmiko, etc. which are amazing because they are free, open-source, and allow a lot of flexibility.

?The challenge for the DEV-NET-OPS admin when using these automation tools is that they require lots of different coding skills and technologies keep changing for them.

?Commercial and enterprise-scale tools might be easier to use but they come with a hefty price tag.

?Network will surely change and all these activities will change the life of network engineer for better with sophisticated AI and features that allow the network admin to configure , automate and solve complex issues with single-click or drag-and-drop.

?major focus areas in the upcoming year 2020 for Networks will be : AI & ML, Analytics, telemetry, cloud security ,IOT , 5G , SDN ,NFV and Containerization.

but whatever it will be it will surely make things better ...

wish you all a Happy New Year !!!
