What’s has a condom got to do with networking?
I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments.
I’ll tell you.
It’s a prop used to showcase who you help, and how you help them.
The condom was provided by Naomi Smith at Ideas Fest yesterday, during her talk on The Big Festoon Stage.
Her talk was called – Let me be your Condom! Protection Matters,
I’m sure you can guess what her talk was about, but just in case you’re not sure, it was about the importance of Personal and Business Protection.
Now, Naomi had the penultimate talk on stage, on Day 2 of an event.
This is a tough slot.
But she delivered an awesome message to educate the crowd on the importance of what she does for business owners.
Well done Naomi ????
For me, it’s the same when networking.
If you’re getting up as some ridiculously early hour to network with a group of local business owners then you need to grab attention, and you need to be memorable.
Tell a story.
Paint a picture.
Leave your audience with a clear message.
Provide a reminder (what's your condom equivalent?)
And do it all within 60 seconds.
If you are stuck with your message and you’d like some help, then why not book a 15 minute brainstorming session with me.
Drop me a comment, and I’ll ping you over my calendar link to get booked in.
