Seven newsletters in seven weeks – I have been (and will continue to be) consistent.
I really enjoy writing these newsletters – it doesn’t feel like a task on my to do list.
Because let’s face it when something becomes a ‘task’ it often gets put off and put off, until you eventually make it out to be such a huge job that you need to tackle.
Sound familiar?
I used to do this all the time, and for transparency I still do it occasionally. I guess the difference is I can recognise myself doing it.
It’s the same with building a network.
When you think about building a network from scratch it seems like a monumental task.
[Two reasons. You think your network needs to be lots of connections plus you’re not sure where to start]
But as I write this in LinkedIn none of us are starting from scratch.
We all have connections that we’ve made.
It might be current or ex work colleagues.

It might be friends and family members in business.
It might be connections you’ve made whilst on training webinars or course.
Very few of us are coming into LinkedIn with zero connections (unless you set your account up this week).
It's not such a monumental task.
So, if you are ready to start building relationships and network for your business then start with who you know.
Identify which categories of businesses are connected to your ideal client (Check out this post for support) and then take a look through your 1st link connections to see who’s in that line of work.
Then off you go.
I make it sound so simple, and there are lots of reasons why business owners don’t take action.
