We're back. A group named after the strength of it's relationships is back to meeting in person long after many job search groups still meet virtually.
Sure, it's easier. And our attendance is not as robust because I suspect people have become more reclusive.
People: 80% of people land jobs because of networking. Don't lose your ability to chat and enjoy the live company of human beings. Social skills and intelligence are high are the list of skillsets desired by companies and yours are getting rusty by sitting in a zoom meeting.
COME ON! Get out of the house! Don't lose your social skills!
AND IT'S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!

1 年As an introvert (I know surprises people and I'm more an ambivert..) networking always makes me nervous but I do it as it's necessary for exactly what you say - to hone my skills. And usually once I'm there and started all the nerves melt. Can't make this month's Dovetail due to other commitments but definitely recommend as it's a great safe environment to practice and hone your messages.
