When walking into networking events it’s easy to feel lost in a sea of conversations especially when you’re 16-18 years-old. For the 2022 Rise Global Winners attending the 2023 Rise Residential Summit in the UK, Rise wanted to unite the cohort with a group of diverse professionals across career stages, backgrounds, and industries, anchored by a common dedication to service and impact.

What we observed at the kickoff panels and networking mixers was truly inspiring—high-energy connections being made that felt genuine and earnest, thanks to the amazing attendees who engaged wholeheartedly. Here’s a glimpse of some of the insights that were shared:

• Create Space: We owe it to ourselves to carve out physical and mental space for reflection, whether in higher education or life at large.
• Embrace Failure: Failure isn't the end—it's a stepping stone. Treat it as a friend and show kindness to yourself along the journey.
