Networking Potboiler Events - The Deal Makers...

I have been Attending & Hosting Networking Potboiler Events for sometime now and have become quite the believer in such meetings like many of my colleagues and friends. Networking Meetings are a fantastic way of organizing your time and help in achieving the Revenues you may be seeking.

I personally believe that the more you meet the right kind of people (target market) for your business, the more are the chances of your success since the meetings will lead to higher closure in sales and revenue. Of course there are a number of factors that your business needs to qualify before attending such meetings.

Qualify Your Business For Meetings...

  1. Your business needs to be able to sustain the cost of attending such a meeting. Moreover your business needs be viable for such a Meeting i.e. since we are in the business of finance and our minimum ticket size is 5 Crores and above, our fees more than justify even if I close 1 client in several meetings. But for a small vendor, the cost and effort may be prohibitive. Moreover, for us since money is our product and every business requires it, it is not difficult to find potential company's wanting to use our services but that is not the case for many other products or services.
  2. You need to understand your product or service and align it with the meeting you are attending and whether the meeting room will suit your requirement or not.
  3. Aligning your Give & Ask is something you should do prior to attending a meeting. Give is when you offer a referral and Ask is when you Ask for a referral. You need to understand that in a Networking Meeting, you do not need business from the Room but through the Room. The last sentence means that any of the participants can recommend someone who can fulfil your Give & or your Ask.

There are many out there hosting such network meetings but not many are efficient and able to deliver participants whom can actually fulfil some Give's & Ask's but then again there are many that can do just that.
