And I tried looking for jobs across domains and seniority and results were more than 200 in every search. So definitely market is hiring. Organizations need talent but still so many of us are struggling to find the right job. What is the reason?

ITS PURE LACK OF NETWORK

The observation that networking can be a critical factor in securing the right job is certainly accurate. While there appears to be a considerable demand for talent across various domains and seniority levels, many job seekers continue to face challenges in finding the most suitable opportunities.

One possible explanation for this could be a lack of effective networking. It often happens that despite being aware of job openings within an organization, job seekers struggle to get their profiles reviewed by the right people simply because they do not have any connections within the company who can help present their case to the relevant stakeholders.

To overcome this hurdle, it is imperative for job seekers to build and grow their network presence within their target organizations. This can significantly increase their chances of being considered for a role, even if one is not currently available.

Below are some tips on how to grow your network in your desired companies using LinkedIn:

  1. Build a fully optimized LinkedIn profile.
  2. Begin by sending connection requests to individuals working in your target organizations.
  3. Create and post content that is relevant to your audience.
  4. Share your content with your first-degree connections and engage them in a discussion without expecting anything in return.

It is important to note that networking is a long-term investment that may not yield immediate benefits. However, consistent efforts to build and nurture your network will eventually pay off.

To use an analogy, networking is similar to investing in mutual funds - it requires patience and persistence, but the returns can be substantial.
