Networking and Hair Care
A blonde and a brunette walk into a bank. They wait in a long line. I am behind them. As it is Saturday morning? The line snakes around to the door. No one likes waiting in line. There is not much that can be done so ride it out.
The blonde asked the brunette where she had her hair done. She complimented her beautiful hair and they compared notes. One mentioned a colorist at an upscale mall and how often she has her hair colored. It looked natural so I never would have thought this new acquaintance had a different hair color than what she was born with.
They gave tips that I found fascinating. Am I going to have my hair colored in a salon? Probably not. As such, I love knowledge and they were sharing expertise based on experience.
Before I knew it? They were served. Did the line move quickly or was I so enmeshed in their conversation to lose track of time? There are few times I had more fun waiting in line. They parted ways and I returned to my life. We made our transactions and carried on with our lives.
Lest you think waiting in line is a waste of time. Was this "Quality time"? That's a nonsense phrase. Quality time should begin January 1 and conclude December 31 when it begins again. This happened a few years ago. It was around Christmas when I was done writing articles for the year.
Life is a collection of tiny moments that create a mosaic. Two long haired strangers came together and made waiting in line a better experience. Anyone can do it. I am appreciative they did.
