NETWORKING FROM THE SOUL

What is your immediate reaction to something like this??

Because mine is an immediate repulsion. I feel pushed away. My deep, real & humane connection-craving side is turned off by such a message like finding 1000 bugs in the bed right before having sex…

Sorry about the image. But honestly… That’s what happens: I get repelled.

By lack of humanity, care, interest, whatever you may call it… But the point is. I am not a machine!?

Are you?!

So, apart from the hint you just got about how to hit on me (professionally ahah don’t get too excited now) - what I am about to give you is something that worked for me 100% of the times. And when I say 100%, trust me. I wish I could document it to on spot!

But when I say “worked” - let’s clarify - what objective did it work for?

It worked to create TRUE connection with the ones that enter my reality. To know what they care about. And when what I am about to share does not happen, the connection sits there and extinguishes or does not happen at all.

Which is a GREAT thing in my personal opinion.?

So let’s get to it! (I am exercising conciseness - Gooosh that’s hard for me ahaha)

Let’s be positive… 93% of people (98% would be more realistic) who reach out to me on Linkedin or Facebook or that I meet at events and conferences sound like the sentence I shot at the beginning. We are in a world led by many deep human needs AND ONE NEED that is NOT Human: Money. That is a SOCIAL need.?

(now, please drop the idea that I am pointing against money with this cause I am not, I love money AND this is not the point we are making)?

What I mean is that money is not inherently human. It is a human social construct. And when we let ourselves be led by a construct, that does not necessarily lead to values based connections.

When a construct is the main driver and even the “starter” of the conversation between two humans, it leads NOT to a human connection but to a business connection.?

“Great thing on linkedin and business events” - you may think. And I’d say “Yeah… kind of the goal”

Though…?

Why do humans do business??

For the sake of business itself - or for the sake of “bringing food to the table”??

What matters TRULY to the human in front of you? What is the most important thing for the name you are reading in a chat-box or meeting face to face at the event??

Ever asked??

Ever asked and truly cared?

Ever asked, truly cared AND got invested and curious to hear more about it?

For then sharing something that TO YOU is very humanely meaningful!?

I am rolling out an actual “deep-connection conversation starter” formula. Are you picking what I am dropping?

And let me specify the trick… there are TWO right above: FIRST is to keep the most important thing for the other person, the most important thing. SECOND is to actually genuinely "care".

And here many fall...

Here comes the pain... because you can fake the question, but you can’t fake the vibe! AND let that land, too…

You can fake the question, you cannot fake the vibe.?

Do you really care about the human you are connecting with? The issue is that you don’t know until you know… and in my humble opinion, the way to know it is to actually do what I just shared with you! Cause if values don’t align, you won’t connect. AND THAT A HUGE WIN. Meaningful connections are value-based connections. The rest is shallow and does not serve your LIFE.?

I might go a long way to say, it might even make you money. But when your last breath draws in, you’ll care about how meaningful, not how profitable, your life has been.?

Now, the ways of doing this are probably millions,? and there is not a right or wrong one “of course”.?

The way I personally do this is to send a voice message FIRST THING when I connect on platforms, or at least acknowledge something I am loving AND then dig deeper into understanding whether the other human and I are somewhat on the same values-page.

If the response is something I feel connected to, guess what, I’ll be magnetised towards that. Giving you an example, I might ask “what does truly matter for you in life right now?” and get an answer about “serving good food that makes people healthier” or “spending time with my friends in new creative and positive ways”.

I’d think and ask like: “cool - what food makes you truly healthy? I love being healthy and always seek to be healthier so, what do you know that I don't know about the topic?” or “fabulous, I wanna have more fun and spend time in new creative positive ways with my people, too! How can I do it more?” - Phrase the question the way YOU would, by stay you and lead from there.

Of course, lead towards business too. BUT BUILD FOUNDATION TOO!?

Did you know a tree roots are averagely 100% broader than the part you see? ANd that a 50ft tall building has got a 100ft deep concrete foundation?

Think of your connections that way… I swear you’ll go a long way deeper, feel more fulfilled and when you need someone for co-hosting your event, a quick referral to serve more, actually be supported by someone you can trust and truly connect with, you’ll only have the hardship of “too much choice”! Not so bad as an option right??
