Networking Done Differently

A key to success in this industry is to be constantly moving forward.

This includes continually learning about the current state of affairs in our market and always expanding our expertise.

And one of the ways we can do this is by NETWORKING.

However, I’m not talking about the traditional idea of networking to get business.

I’m referring to a strategy of seeking out knowledge from professionals across relevant industries.

Because this kind of networking allows you to do your business better.

Networking to DO business

A great strategy for staying on top of what’s going on in our market is to regularly meet up with other professionals to chat about what’s going on from their perspectives.

For example, you can meet with your favourite real estate agents for a coffee and talk about the following:

  • What they see happening in the market
  • Who’s buying and who’s not
  • How buyers feel about the state of things
  • Any changes they’re aware of

You should also meet with bankers, lending providers, and anyone else who can provide regular insight to you.

Ask them about anything new happening in the credit market. Pick their brains and share information that you can all benefit from.

Remember, all of these people are industry leaders themselves. Knowing their insights can give you so much value and make it easier for you to run your business better.

So, change your thinking around networking. Don’t just think of it in terms of gaining business.

Realise it can be a powerful strategy for staying on top of what’s happening in the market and know how you can be even better at what you do.

By providing greater value to your clients, you will set your business on a path toward greater success.
