NETWORKING
You can catch more fish with a net than with your bare hands. For bigger fish you need a bigger net. For many smaller fish you need a net with more substance and less space between the substance.
Most of us don’t spend most of our time catching fish but we are wanting to catch something – more buyers for what we are selling, more collaborators for what we are doing, more value-add to add to our value. And we don’t usually use a physical net but working with others to expand our reach, expand our awareness, and pull together to collect what we seek works a lot better than reaching out alone.
NETWORKING is a special form of collaboration. NETWORKING captures this essence of what and why, and also a sense of the how with such intricate and overlapping connectivity within our network.
Your network is probably bigger than you realize. If you don’t think so imagine what would happen if you had a shark in your net – something that you are not trying to catch and will push and stretch your net – how many people would you reach directly or indirectly to help you overcome? It is probably more than you think at first.
