Networkers Need To Be Patient

Networkers Need To Be Patient

I often hear networkers say that they are not getting much from their networking, that they have tried a particular group without success, or that other networkers are not getting back to them. They seem to think that networking is some kind of “quick fix” – which it is not. Networking is all about building relationships, growing reputations and earning trust.

?I once read that it takes between 4 and 7 contacts before someone recommends you (perhaps even more in the financial sector). People take their time to know you, like you and trust you – so it is wrong to assume you will get referrals the day after attending a new networking group.

My advice is to be patient and stay in polite but regular touch with people

My book “Positive Networking” includes a number of hints and tips for networkers. Here is a link https://amzn.eu/d/atj0rZC
