5 questions that presell our prospect

What do you think of this conversation? And wouldn't this conversation feel better than a memorized script or PowerPoint presentation?

Question #1: “What do you think the real problem is?”

Prospects: “We don’t have enough money. Our salaries are too low.”

Question #2: “Has this caused a problem already?”

Prospects: “Sure. Our credit card minimum payments are now over $500 a month. This makes it even harder to pay our mortgage and car payments.”

Question #3: “Have you tried to fix this problem already? Which solutions have you tried?”

Prospects: “We both tried to get part-time jobs. But we get home too late and no one local needs part-time help that late in the evening.”

Question #4: “How much time and effort are you willing to invest to fix this problem?”

Prospects: “We can work a few hours in the evening, but it has to be after 7 PM.”

Question #5: “Is this the biggest problem, or are there more?”

Prospects:?“We both hate our jobs. No chance of a raise or promotion. We need new careers where we could earn what we are worth.”

How about this question?

“Do you think your current plan is the answer?”

A great question to ask our prospects. Why?

#1. They have to stop and?think. We have their attention.

#2. This question creates doubt in their minds and makes them question if they have the right plan. Once we create doubt, prospects will look for alternatives and pay attention to our solution.

“That is the dumbest thing I ever heard.”

Big Al: "Decisions to join or not?to join ... come BEFORE the presentation."

Failing Distributor: "No. I don't believe you."

So I gave some examples.

Example #1: “Do you want to join me for lunch?” Most people can make an instant “yes” or “no” decision. This decision happens before we tell them where we are going?for lunch, if we are going to pay for lunch or not, or what is on the menu. This is a decision before the presentation or information.

Example #2: “I think you should vote for ____.” Our friends will make an instant decision “yes” or “no” before we have a chance to give our reasons.?

Example #3: “I think you should join me in the marathon race this weekend. Let me tell you why that is healthy for us.” The decision to avoid a marathon race will be made long before we get to the health reasons of running 26 miles.

And the result of my great examples?

Failing Distributor: "No. I don't believe you."

My failing distributor?didn’t?“get it”?…?and continued giving presentations first. And then dropped out.

Humans make decisions?first. Information and presentations come second. We only want?a presentation or?information if our original decision was “yes”.

“Oh, now I understand”

Our network marketing companies can rent a mailing?list and?spam millions of prospects to look at their company video.?

So, why would our network marketing company need us to send people to their video?

They?don’t. They can send people to their video without us.

Here?is?why our network marketing companies need us.?

They need us for the conversation that happens?BEFORE?a prospect sees the company video. Why? Because that is when the decision is made.

I love these questions. They help us uncover our prospects needs and whether what we offer will be a solution for them. When we start with a presentation, we assume that they want what we have to offer. They may not. Better find this out within a few minutes than after an hour of a presentation.
