Do we know someone like this?
After years of unsatisfying work, they give up. They hate where they are, but feel they have no choice.
We can revive their interest in change with an appropriate opening question. Some examples?
1. “I thought to myself this morning, this job can’t be my long-term plan. There has to be more to life. What do you think?”

2. “You know, nothing ruins a weekend more than Monday mornings. I wonder, what would we do with four-day weekends?”
3. “I am working overtime so I can make the payments on my car so that I can go to work. What about you?”
They can volunteer to continue the conversation or not.
