Network Marketing Tips: April 30, 2023

"If you are on fire, some people will listen just to watch you burn."

Yes, we should be motivated when talking to prospects. But it takes more.

We also need skills. We can't say garbage.

Who wants to join an idiot? We should at least have some strategy to make a good first impression.

Instead of looking like a desperate hustler trying to make a sale, how about we take this approach?

Tell our prospects that we have only one obligation: "To notify them of our network marketing business opportunity."

  • We are not obligated to make up the prospects' minds.
  • We are not obligated to force or close the prospects.
  • We are not obligated to determine what’s best for our prospects.

Adopting that mindset will relax our prospects, and raise our value in our prospects' eyes. And as a bonus, we reduce the chances of rejection.

Being a motivated idiot isn't our goal. We don't want to appear to be a garbage can with hair on top.

Our goal is to give our prospects an opportunity to change their lives.

"Your product is too expensive."

This is a common objection that scares new networkers. Let's give them this simple answer from the Quick Start Guide to Network Marketing book.

"Yes, it is expensive. The company wanted to make a cheaper version, but they knew it wouldn't work. And, they didn't wanna rip you off."

Professionals know exactly what to say. Amateurs spend their time hoping for a bigger bonus check.

Here is what this marketing genius told me:

To sell a woman anything, simply put these words in front of what you're selling:

1. Sugar-free

2. One-calorie

3. On sale

To sell a man anything, simply put this word in front of what you're selling:

1. Turbo

So I tested his theory. I said to my wife:

"I think it was on sale."

She replied:

"What? What was on sale? How much? Is it still on sale? Where was it? Do I have enough time to go now?

Gee, I didn't even say what was on sale. Pretty powerful stuff

Unfortunately, my wife knows all things - even the "Turbo" technique. So one day she tells me:

"And now it comes in a turbo model."

I reacted:

"What? A turbo model? What kind? How fast? Does it have extra options? Will it be faster than my friend's? How powerful is it?"

So why not position our products and opportunity with these tips in mind? For instance, we could say:

  • One-calorie super vitamin program
  • Quick Start distributor kit is now on sale
  • Turbo training day
  • Turbo discount
  • Sugar-free munchie bar

It is what we say that makes a difference.
