Global | Korea | U.S. – This week in Washington, tech CEOs responded to pointed questions by members of Congress about child safety on their social media platforms and corporate (and personal) culpability for harms caused. Although Congress has yet to pass legislation after years of debate, the public nature of the hearing will likely lead to action. As for solutions from social entrepreneurs, Yuhyun Park of DQ Institute , has been developing a digital literacy framework for kids for more than a decade, and child safety and wellbeing are key facets. Her team’s Child Online Safety Index is a recognized global standard.

Philippines – One of our planet’s mega-biodiversity hotspots, the Philippines is home to thousands of plant and animal species. It's also home to Masungi Georeserve , established by Ann Dumaliang – it’s a unique conservation area with a web of community-stewarded discovery trails. This week, Vogue Philippines ran a cover story featuring Ann and her younger sister Billie, a collaborator, with photos shot onsite. Ann also hosted a discussion with Jane Goodall and other changemakers at Davos on generational sharing and transfer of knowledge among Earth’s wisdom keepers.
