Network Engineer II, onsite in Chicago, $50 hr W2

I am looking for a Network Engineer II to be onsite in Chicago, IL.

Compensation: $50/hr W2, Long-term contract with potential for hire

This role involves maintaining and implementing WAN/LAN systems.

Key Responsibilities: The Network Engineer II will be responsible for the upkeep and management of network systems, including WAN/LAN configurations.

Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates must have at least five (5) years of continuous experience in computer networking. The following qualifications are essential:

• Proficiency in managing network management platforms, firewall security, and RAS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Cisco Nexus 5k and 7k platforms.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst 6500 series switches.
• Background in enterprise or carrier-class Cisco routers.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge and experience with DNS and DHCP.
• Experience in configuring and managing Cisco firewall software.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and security practices.
• Experience with Remote Access implementation, including VPN and Dial-Up.
• Understanding of wireless networking.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) is preferred.
