Network Engineer - Dutch Speaker

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our Client's team and take a lead role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our global network infrastructure across multiple locations and data centers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to internal support teams, collaborating with external vendors or service providers when necessary.
• Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations for integration into the existing infrastructure.
• Work with the Global Network Architect to design and architect global network solutions, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.
• Implement and configure network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, servers, and access points.
• Resolve complex network issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Conduct regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, implement necessary patches or updates, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Create and implement detailed network equipment installation plans, conducting network equipment installations, and providing post-installation reports.

Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working as a Network Engineer, focusing on global network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies (VLANs, STP), and network security principles. Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from vendors like Cisco, Sophos, and Palo Alto.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with advanced network protocols and technologies, such as MPLS, VRF, DMVPN, SD-WAN, and multicast. Familiarity with network access control technologies, including 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, and TACACS+.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools like Nagios, PRTG, or OpManager.
• Ability to provide successful delivery of design-ready, complex architectures.
• Capable of motivating teams and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and ideas across diverse audiences.
• Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with French knowledge being an asset.
