Network Engineer - Onsite in Schaumburg, IL - US Citizens Only

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our complex, multi-site LAN/WAN environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, with experience in WiFi design and management, and a "security-first" mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and restore network functionality
• Act as a subject matter expert for networking, providing top-tier support for the District
• Plan and implement network infrastructure changes
• Perform preventive maintenance on network equipment
• Respond to network complaints, issues, and outages
• Research and adapt new networking technologies
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
• Provide technical support to users and IT staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer
• Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent
• Real-life experience with enterprise networking, various hardware vendors, and Wi-Fi
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Hands-on experience with Cisco 9300, Nexus, Juniper EX2200/4300, Aruba Wi-Fi, Extreme Wi-Fi, SolarWinds, virtualization, cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), and VoIP on Cisco telephony systems
• Familiarity with firewalls

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
• Ability to lift server and network equipment up to 50 pounds for rack mounting

Note:

• This position requires US citizenship.
• Onsite work in Schaumburg, IL.
• Maximum salary offered is $100,000.
• No C2C arrangements will be considered.
