Current grant opportunities

We’re excited to share the following grant opportunities with you:

  • Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant (MEEG) - The Queensland Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (RDMW) unveiled the $7.1 million Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant (MEEG) program - a game-changing initiative to boost energy efficiency in the manufacturing sector. If you are a manufacturer in Queensland, this is a golden opportunity to enhance energy efficiency, reduce emissions, trim operational costs, and remain competitive. The MEEG provides direct assistance to manufacturing businesses seeking to reduce energy usage and costs. Eligible manufacturers can apply for matched grant funding ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. This funding can be directed towards investing in cutting-edge equipment or processes designed to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. 100% Renewables is proud to have been selected as the company providing technical evaluation of the grant applications. For this reason, we can’t directly help you with this opportunity, but we strongly encourage eligible companies to act now to secure your share of the $7.1 million funding pool to drive your business toward a more productive, sustainable and efficient future. Round 1, with up to $50 million available, focuses on energy efficiency, demand flexibility, and electrification upgrades at local government facilities. From replacing gas heating systems to installing solar panels and electric vehicle chargers, a range of improvements is on the table. Applications for Round 1 are open until 30 April 2024. Successful applicants can receive grants ranging from $25,000 to $2.5 million. Find the grant guidelines and applications on? business.gov.au .

  • Metering Plan Implementation Grant - The NSW Government recently announced the launch of their Metering Plan Implementation Grant. This grant is part of a $12 million package to support businesses across various stages of the metering and monitoring process. The grant offers up to $100,000, covering 50% of the implementation costs and recommendations outlined in the energy metering and monitoring plan. Implementing metering and monitoring systems is key in identifying energy-saving opportunities and building the case for efficiency and productivity upgrades. By addressing these critical steps, NSW businesses can overcome barriers to improving energy performance, contributing to the state's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Applications are currently open until June 14, 2024, or until funding is exhausted. For detailed information on the grant, eligibility criteria, and application instructions, please?visit here .

The NGA Factors evolution: Embracing the market-based method

In August 2023, the National Greenhouse Account (NGA) Factors document underwent a significant revision, aligning more closely with Climate Active methodologies. This strategic move signifies increased collaboration across Federal government policy areas, introducing a market-based method and refining the Residual Mix Factor (RMF) methodology.
