Electric vehicle fleets incentive

Good news! The NSW Government launched an Electric Vehicle (EV) Fleets Incentive program to support businesses in transitioning their vehicle fleets to electric vehicles. This initiative offers two funding options:

Competitive Bid Funding

  • Opens on 24 July 2024
  • Closes on 17 September 2024
  • $8 million allocated

Kick-Start Funding

  • Opens on 24 July 2024
  • Remains available until the allocated $7 million is exhausted

The EV Fleets Incentive aims to cover part of the total cost of ownership gap between battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and traditional internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs). Benefits of electrifying fleets include significant savings on operating costs, reduced carbon emissions, and improved vehicle performance. The program is designed to achieve emissions abatement cost-effectively, support the secondary market for electric vehicles, and promote the uptake of smart charging infrastructure.
