NESCAFE- The swiss coffee bird serving 4000 cups every second
Did you know that NESCAFé coffee is a Swiss product that was created while looking for a substitute for breast milk? Yes, you read it right.
The origins of one of the most renowned coffee brands may be traced back to 1930 when a group of Brazilian bankers approached Nestlé for assistance in increasing coffee consumption while reducing Brazil's massive coffee excess. Coffee prices were so low at the end of the 1920s that it was sometimes just good enough to be used as fuel. The Brazilian financiers intended to create a popular coffee that could be sipped in places where coffee was not readily available. The concept of a soluble coffee in the shape of cubes or tablets arose from this. This was designed to increase sales without damaging traditional coffee consumption, but rather increase its popularity.
NESCAFé was born after seven years of development by chemist Dr. Max Morgenthaler. On April 1, 1938, the world was finally introduced to the revolutionary beverage. It became the standard beverage of the United States military services during WWII, and its popularity skyrocketed after that. Coffee had been the 'in' drink for young rockin' rollers in the 1950s, who flocked to new coffee shops around the Western world. Its popularity has grown from generation to generation, thanks to NESCAFé's constant commitment to the pleasure and ease of brewing a wonderful cup of coffee.
