At KODOKO Distillery, I am thrilled to step into the role of brand ambassador, representing a product that mirrors my passion for creativity, local empowerment, and innovative culinary exploration. As someone who has journeyed through countless kitchens across the world, I am excited to bring this same dedication and knowledge to promoting our Nepalese gin.
A Journey of Culinary Excellence
My story is one of love for food and a relentless pursuit of excellence. As a chef who has had the privilege of traveling worldwide and leading culinary teams for some of the most renowned airlines, such as British Airways, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Austrian Airlines, and Delta Airlines, as well as catering for high-profile events like Formula 1, the Champions League Final, the Euro Cup, and FIFA 2022, I have gained a unique perspective on the art of crafting exceptional dishes and beverages.
My experiences have earned me the nickname “Spice Pundit,†a testament to my expertise in marrying and pairing spices and herbs with the finest ingredients. I take pride in being able to create unforgettable flavors that captivate the palate.
Beyond my work in the kitchen, I am honored to be a visiting faculty member at Oxford College of Engineering and Management, where I share my culinary journey with the next generation of hospitality professionals. I also write a weekly column in a Nepalese national newspaper, where I delve deep into the rich tapestry of Nepali food, spices, and herbs, inspiring others to explore Nepal’s unique culinary heritage.
Bringing Nepalese Gin to the World
As the brand ambassador for KODOKO Distillery, I am eager to bring my passion and expertise to the world of gin. My recent visit to our distillery in Ashford, UK, allowed me to learn every detail of our gin-making process, from start to finish. Nepalese gin is something truly special. It combines the traditional British craftsmanship of gin-making with unique Himalayan botanicals, such as Timur spice and Siltimur spice, creating flavors that are both bold and exotic, a tribute to Nepal’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
With my deep understanding of these unique flavors, coupled with my global culinary experience, I am excited to represent this extraordinary product on the world stage. The idea of blending the old with the new aligns perfectly with my philosophy as a chef — creating a gin that embodies the essence of Nepal while adhering to the highest global standards.
