In this month’s edition of NEOM Now, we’re taking you on a tour of this incredible new escape by answering some of your key questions. Let’s get into it.
What is Sindalah??
Sindalah is a vibrant destination that can be enjoyed all year round. Reimagining the luxury island experience, Sindalah will have an exclusive beach club, a choice of three luxury hotels, a yacht club, golf course and sports club. Our island will soon become one of the most alluring destinations in the Red Sea.

A main gateway to the Red Sea, Sindalah is just off the NEOM coast and is the closest ultra-prime marina to Europe and the Mediterranean. What can I do at Sindalah?

NEOM is home to more than 2,000 marine species, over 600 of which are endemic to the Red Sea and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Areas of seagrass, open sea and coral reefs house dolphins, turtles, dugongs, manta rays, whale sharks and a myriad of rare corals and colorful reef fish.
When can I visit?
Sindalah is expected to start welcoming guests to enjoy its exquisite facilities and exclusive offerings from 2024. Once open, Sindalah will be easily accessible from NEOM Bay Airport and on from there by boat. Boat owners can moor at our stunning 86-berth marina or from 75 offshore buoys.

11 个月You should make the Marina face the other direction, not on the coral side. Digging around the coral will destroy the reefs by smothering them with sediments from the bottom of the seafloor, therefore killing the very attraction that everyone has come to see. They should definitely revise this design, which we have seen in ElGouna’ in Hurghada Egypt, which destroyed 50 km kilometers of corals South of the location of digging up a new marina. Not a good idea for anyone. I would not go there myself, and I am a long time scuba diver/traveler in Sinai and the Red Sea since 1990. As a high-paying tourist, I would definitely not go somewhere that is destroying coral reefs in the mannerthat this will do. Who is conducting your impact assessments?

11 个月I’m a Red Sea coral reef expert having worked with the heavily funded Marine Protected Areas across Red Sea coastlines. Learn the lesson from the failures of ElGouna that digging up a fake bay/marina like this will kill off all the coral for30 km downstream from your “luxury” island. The sediments you dig up are going to smother all the pristine coral reefs and reef fish, and should not be allowed. Instead of digging, setup natural beach areas for beachside restaurants, recreation, diving, and lounging. I did not spend 20 years training Red Sea Resorts on house reef protection and calculating all the damage caused by ElGouna for this project to go forward and decimate and absolutely destroy tens of kilometers of virgin, pristine coral reefs downstream from the project. Every country involved should be aware of this risk and potential destruction of their own natural heritage by one project.
