so how #Nemawashi #corporate #culture helps us?

  1. Consensus Building: Nemawashi allows for the gradual building of consensus among stakeholders before a decision is made. This can help prevent conflicts and ensure that decisions are well-accepted by all parties involved.
  2. Inclusivity: It encourages input and participation from a wide range of individuals within the organization. This inclusivity can lead to better-informed decisions and improved overall outcomes.
  3. Reduced Resistance: Since potential issues and concerns are addressed early in the process, there's a lower likelihood of resistance or pushback when the decision is finally implemented.
  4. Quality of Decision-Making: By involving multiple perspectives and gathering input from various levels of the organization, the decisions made tend to be more informed and holistic.
  5. Trust Building: Nemawashi fosters an environment of trust and open communication. Employees feel valued when their opinions are considered, which can lead to higher levels of engagement and commitment.

We can deal with the elephant in the room every time we get into that meeting room or deal with outside and get the decisions faster.

During my consulting days, my boss used to stress the principle of "nemawashi," where nothing in a client presentation should be unexpected – aligning with the notion that "behind the scene" communication and groundwork should prepare for smooth D-day client presentation.

We do a lot of ‘nemawashi’…its a double edged sword sometimes when too much consensus paralyses decision making. Other times it worked like a charm.
