A beautiful Sunday morning LinkedIn family. I hope everyone had a lovely week. I've had a hard time finding photos that showcase representation?and it's very frustrating. I am currently using Canva, kindly advise if you know any app that is BIG on diversity. Today we are going to look at the subject of negotiations. Negotiation is a critical aspect of any work relationship. Whether it is between employees or between employees and management, the ability to negotiate effectively can make a significant difference in the success of a company. Negotiations are essential for resolving conflicts, building relationships, and achieving goals.
One of the primary reasons why negotiations are essential in work relationships is their ability to resolve conflicts. In any workplace, disagreements and misunderstandings are bound to arise. If left unresolved, these conflicts can fester and create a negative work environment. However, by engaging in negotiations, parties can work to find a mutually acceptable solution. Through open communication and compromise, employees and management can resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
Negotiations are also important for building relationships. When parties engage in negotiations, they have an opportunity to understand each other's perspectives and interests. This understanding can lead to stronger relationships and better communication in the workplace. By building relationships through negotiations, employees and management can create a more cohesive and productive work environment.
For example, let’s look at a dispute of interest. Twice a week, Mr. Maseko delivers 400 loaves of bread to a school. He believes that using the company's car would help him to perform his job more effectively because using the scooter requires him to make repeated trips. He is not entitled to this privilege, but it is something that could help him work better. So, by engaging in negotiations, parties can identify areas of agreement and find creative solutions to reach a mutually beneficial outcome. This can result in increased productivity and efficiency, ultimately leading to the success of the company.

1 年It is easy... Mr Maseko must just go on stri.. ?? ?? ??. kiddin ... I would urge Mr Maseko to pull out receipts of petrol for the previous month, multiply it by 12 to give a years amount and make his case that if he is allowed to use the Company's car, this could save for the company an X amount of money vs the current mode of transportation. This will give the company a better view of where the benefit could come from. ...... So striking might actually not work for him and the company after all ??

1 年Good morning Nobesuthu, what do you think about Mr Maseko, should the company give him a car to collect bread? If yes why.
