Negligence On The Rise
The following is not intended to be just critical, but to offer constructive criticism from the eyes of a company that has actually benefited from negligence. The purpose is to offer an honest insight for the owners as observed by a company that as stated, benefits from negligence of the labor force of moving companies. Dee's Furniture Repair has been providing Inspection/Repair Services for over 28 years. Dee's observation is that the labor force, the people who actually move furniture, personal belongings, provide the packing services is becoming more negligent, not less. I have also noted an increase in valuable artifacts being lost which often is very heartbreaking for some of your customers. This is including hardware for office desks, dinning tables, beds especially, all on the increase.
I must note that the House Hold Goods Inventory List provided to Dee's Furniture Repair is the majority of the time illegible. It is always Dee's intent, as any reputable repair firm to protect moving companies from false claims. Very difficult to do when the so called pre-existing damage is written as if by a 4th grader.
Once again, this information is intended to cause owners of moving companies to take a hard look at there operations. The greater majority of such owners have worked extremely hard to grow there moving business. Dee's will continue to do our best to be honest with the shippers, and to also protect the hard work of those that have a vested interest in any moving company. Respectfully, Jim Bandy
