Happiest Minds Technologies Block Deal: 8.3% equity worth ?1,076 crore changes hands
As many as 1.27 crore shares, or 8.3% equity, of Happiest Minds Technologies worth ?1,076 crore changed hands in large trade at an average price of ?847 per share on Tuesday, June 25.
On Monday, June 24, CNBC-TV18 reported, citing sources, that the IT firm's promoter and executive chairman Ashok Soota had initiated a block deal to sell 6% stake in the company and the total offer size for the deal amounted to ?754 crore.
Sources had said the floor price for the sale was set at ?826 per share, representing a 10% discount to the last closing price. Kotak Securities is the sole broker for the transaction, sources said, adding that there is a six month lock up period on the residual stake held by Soota.

In the aftermath of the recent NEET exam controversies, the very integrity of India's competitive testing system, particularly in the field of medical entrance exams, has come under serious scrutiny. The sudden cancellation of the NEET postgraduate exam just 10 hours before its scheduled time, along with the disturbing allegations of paper leaks, has not only sparked widespread student protests but also shattered the faith of many in the examination system.
Dr TD Dogra, Former Director of AIIMS Delhi, suggested that newer agencies conducting these competitive exams should consult with established bodies like AIIMS and UPSC to develop robust policies and procedures. He highlighted that there has never been a paper leak at these institutions.

Homegrown consumer tech brand Noise has launched new women’s health tracking features for its smart ring, Luna. This update aims to offer personalized menstrual health insights and predictions, helping women with various menstrual patterns better understand their health.
A recent Noise survey found that while 82% of women recognise they have menstrual health issues, less than 7% have been educated about them. Additionally, 26.3% feel embarrassed discussing these issues with their families, and 71% believe menstruation is a taboo topic in school or work. Notably, 35% of obese women have PCOS, a condition often missed by traditional health trackers.
Shopify expands access to its AI-powered features to attract more businesses
Shopify made its artificial intelligence-powered tools, including the Sidekick assistant and image-generation feature, available to more users on Monday, in a bid to increase the appeal of its e-commerce platform and boost revenue growth.
Customers can now use its editing tool on their smartphones to enhance images used in promotional materials, including emails, the Canada-based firm said at its biannual products event. The feature was previously restricted to only editing product images online.

Unity Small Finance Bank (Unity Bank) on Monday (June 24) announced an upward revision in its savings account interest rates. Effective immediately, the bank will offer interest rates based on deposit balances, starting at 7.25% per annum for amounts exceeding ?1 lakh up to ?5 lakh. Balances ranging from ?5 lakh to ?50 lakh will earn depositors a higher rate of 7.50% per annum. Savers maintaining balances exceeding ?50 lakh will get the highest rate of 7.75% per annum.

Investment app Groww has responded to allegations of financial impropriety following a viral social media complaint. On June 24, Groww clarified that there was no 'fraud' involved, addressing a claim made by a customer regarding a failed mutual fund transaction. The app explained that the customer's money was not deducted, and consequently, no transaction for the mutual fund purchase took place.
However, despite this, Groww decided to credit the disputed amount back to the customer's account in "good faith".
