Needy G_d?

Needy G_d?

I came across this lecture and I believe the Rabbi's perspective can give us both insight and cause for discussion, dispute, and seeking.

I would love to see some discussion of this.

I posted this to Rabbi Friedman:

Thank you Rabbi. Here are my notes of what struck me most and that I will use as I share this video with my theological friends who, like me, are mostly Christians. I got a lot of propelling from you talk as I always do:
Faith is about "making God familiar," according to Rabbi Manis Friedman.
At Sinai, according to the Rabbi, G_d is telling us what he must have.
He suggests the idea of a needy G_d. We ask the question, "What does G_d want?"

Interesting thoughts to ponder from a Jewish perspective.

"How can I serve you?" is a big question. Otherwise, we are using religion as a whip.

"Are we here to get from G_d what we need?"

This is a call to service to a G_d who is loveable and a great relief to those who are told they must go through life needy and downtrodden.

But I hate when individuals have condemned others because of their belief. I think it is just a difference of semantics. The egg and 3 states of water are not good examples. The best example is a human being’s body, soul, and spirit. The Holy Spirit didn’t give that to me until sometime in the latter part of 2018. Quickly skim: ***Very Important Teachings in John 13-17-- ETRS-- https://app.box.com/s/gh5b0h11v5wuej8k4ta85yaj2f80lmat . Then on February 23, 2019, during a wonderful phone conversation, the Holy Spirit gave me the following new understanding. Most singles first go for good looks of others of the opposite sex to love. Then when things get more serious, they go for spirit or common beliefs, concerns, and hopes. Then they might later go for being “soul mates”. But God’s best way is to first go for the spiritual commonness. The more each one of a prospective couple has been faithful to God and His Word and obedient to Holy Spirit urgings in their past lives, the more alike they will be in their spirits. Then the next step is to unify in their souls with the help of the Holy Spirit by Agapè LOVING from "heart" to “heart" like they do with God, even without speaking being apart from each other. And the final after marriage will be physical in body contact. That is for marriage that will be forever. Wow. If I had only known that earlier. But God’s timing is the best!!! And the best example of the of the Godhead/Trinity is each human’s soul, spirit, and body in that order of importance. Wow. What a powerful duet between the just mentioned fact and the best way for a God-pleasing marriage. Rabbi Manis Friedman, He kept everything in the NATURAL FOUNDATION, he described the TORAH from a SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE, ALMIGHTY YHWH is a SPIRITUAL BEING, just a THOUGHT, it became, enjoyed Rabbi Manis Friedman as I have always done over the years, he makes you THINK, yes to THINK being a NATURAL POINT OF VIEW, thank you Brother Manis. Rather than objective Deity. The Early Laterans spanning 100 to 450 emphasized the Non Material Spirit
