Need Some Lube?
Hey,
I’m serious.
Do you need some lube?
Uh?
Yup, lube?
You need lube if there’s friction.
Because friction stops things moving.
Oh! Wait a moment.
I’m talking about your Real Estate business!
What were you thinking!!!!!!
Let me explain.
If you’re not taking regular, daily action to build your real estate business…
…then you’re either not serious, or…
…you’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to start.
If you’re not serious, then I can’t help you.
But if it’s overwhelm that’s stopping you then read on
Because the biggest problem I see in this business is that there are TOO MANY ways for you to make money.
And when you first start, you don’t know which route to take.
That means it’s easier, and it feels safer, NOT to make a decision.
Which is why so many people jump into real estate and DON’T do anything with it.
It’s because of friction.
And what overcomes friction?
Either a ton more effort…
…or some lube.
Of course this is a metaphor.
But hopefully you get the point.
So let me lube you up, so you can slide easily over that friction that’s been stopping you, and get you doing something you can easily do to build your real estate business.
Working harder is usually NOT the answer which is why I’m such a fan of lube!
Here’s a down and dirty, quick and easy, simple and safe strategy.
All you gotta do is follow these simple steps.
Step #1 - Reach out to agents every day.
Your aim is to connect with 3 agents a day.
[WARNING] When you do this make sure you avoid this rookie mistake:
Don’t talk to agents that don’t have active listings.
That’s a waste of your time.
Only connect with agents who have listings.

When you speak to them, build rapport, get to know them as people, make friends with them first.
Remember they’re a real person first and a real estate agent second.
Tell them what you’re looking for and ask them if they’re interested in doing deals with you.
Step #2 - Capture the details of the agents you connect with
After you've spoken to them, create a sheet that has their picture on it, their name, their city, their contact details, and any notes from your conversation.
Then create a “Wall of Fame” and put those sheets on it.
You’re building an army of agents who you’ve connected with, who know what you want, and who are happy to keep in touch with you.
And your “Wall of Fame” is where they live.
Do that for 30 days and you’ll have 90 agents in your armory.
Step #3 - Embrace Follow Up Fridays
Here’s the secret sauce to this strategy working.
The key is in the follow up.
It’ll be rare that you’ll find a deal on the first call.
So the answer is to keep checking in with them.
Every Friday, look at each picture on the wall, read your notes and drop them a quick text.
That’s it.
Begin following up weekly and based on my experience, here’s what will happen…
…within about 2 weeks, you’ll be so overwhelmed with potential deals that you won’t know what to do with them all.
That’s not a bad problem to have.
This works really well if you’re good on the phone, you’re good with people, and you know what you’re looking for.
