Need leads but hate cold calling and networking? ???? Read this

During the first year and a half of my journey to build Marketing Metal into the profitable, impactful small business it is today…

I had roughly 175 fifteen-minute intro calls with people I had lost touch with over the years and strangers who found me on Linkedin or were introduced to me by mutual connections.

? 65 of these were ideal leads for me ?? 23 of them signed up for The Setup? ?? 16 of those said yes to The Buildout?

That's about a 13% sales conversion rate which is a helluva lot better than the average cold-calling rate of 2%.

?? The rest have led to referrals, speaking opportunities, podcast interviews, amazing friendships, and a brighter, broader, and more interesting perspective on the world we live in.

I've always hated "doing sales," but this was actually fun!

It's called warm outreach and it’s the quickest, most effective way for B2B service businesses (like job shops) to drum up fresh leads.

? No more buying a list of prospects and having to call hundreds of them just to get repeatedly hung up on and limp away with 3 "maybes".

? No more standing around some cheesy banquet hall trying to suck down enough liquid courage to introduce yourself to a few bankers and lawyers.

It's simply reconnecting with people you already know.

Just ask what they’re up to these days and how you can support them, and when they reciprocate, tell them exactly what you're looking for.

If you’re a genuinely kind and caring person, most of these people will go out of their way to help you out.

If you’re specific and memorable, they will gladly refer you when they come across the right opportunity.

If you reach out to just 5 people a weekday, you could talk to 100 people in the next month! They won’t all say yes, but it only takes one to catch a big fish.
