Need to follow up? Send a Potato

Every day, I'm still amazed at what I learn from my crew. Here's a nice one from my new west coast guy Matt Ward.
People follow up via email mostly. Some are old school enough to send a card. When Matt follows up, he send a potato. That's right for the price of $9.99 you can send a follow up note, picture, gif, whatever you'd like, printed on a potato.
Lots of reps follow up with bribes: gifts, booze, candy etc. But the Potato leaves an impression.
Matt still has clients today that keep his potato on their desk (At least until it rots). I suppose a planner could always take it home and cook it too!
The point is that it's unusual and thoughtful. It took time to come up with and will stand out.
So next time you need to send a follow up. Send a Potato!
