Ok, so the NDIS is offering CHOICE and CONTROL and Disability SA offers QUALITY via their processes through the DSPP, so what could possibly be missing from this equation ?????
VALUE, the NDIS isn't giving people with a disability value for money. Service providers are NOT all the same so why are they pricing themselves at the same point ?, each service provider offers value, or USPs, but unless you can find out what they are how do you know?????.
Disability Recreation and Sports SA has been supporting people with a disability in SA for 50 plus years with regards to Sport and Rec,,,, now we are taking it to the next level, we want people to have real choice, control and VALUE from their supports, and to do that we have created the first true marketplace for people with a disability to shop around for a service provider and get the best possible value for their individual support.
We have a full funded(from NON GOV money) pilot program working in the Autism sector starting in Aug of this year, once this pilot is complete we will be rolling out across SA in multiple disabilities(not just Autism) so that everyone with a disability can have access to this TOTALLY FREE SERVICE. If you have a disability and want to know more please contact us through the website link below. If you are a service provider that would like to see what we are doing, again follow the link, their is NO FEE to register your company and support staff.

7 年It needs to be clearly defined as what is a parenting/family responsibility. Some people are still hoping to have a lovely time sending all ages to singing, dancing, acting, swimming, driving lessons etc saying it gives the client 'a nice life' At what point is the parent responsible for the nice life? Services provision needs to be based on medical need with specific goals & outcomes.
