NCMT appoints Sales Manager for South-East England

LUKE INSLEY has been appointed Area Sales Manager for South-East England by machine tool supplier NCMT. He is responsible for sales of the company’s product portfolio, which includes Okuma machining centres, CNC lathes and grinders, Makino machining centres, and photo-activated adhesive work holding systems manufactured by Blue Photon.

Mr Insley studied for an advanced apprenticeship in engineering at Central Sussex College, gaining an ONC and an HNC in mechanical engineering and an NVQ level 3 in mechanical manufacture engineering. He continued as an apprentice at a precision engineering company in the area, advancing to become a setter-operator and then a production engineer. He has since held roles as an applications and technical support engineer at a cutting tool company, assisting both end users and distributors, and more recently as a sales engineer for a tooling supplier.

With excellent knowledge of tooling and machine tool programming and operation, he brings with him a wealth of other experience likely to be of assistance to existing and prospective NCMT customers, such as work holding and fixture design.
