2025 Legal Feeding Frenzy
Competition: March 1 - 31, 2025
The Legal Feeding Frenzy (#NCLFF25) is an annual joint program of the NCBA Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks, supported by a grant from the NCBF Endowment. The month-long food and funds drive is supported by the state’s legal community. In this friendly competition, law firms, law schools, in-house counsel, and government/public interest organizations compete for the most donations benefiting local Feeding the Carolinas food banks. NCBA/NCBF Committee Expression of Interest Form Now Available
The North Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina Bar Foundation depend on members like you to serve on the committees that help shape our institutions, inspire the profession, and serve the public. The committee expression of interest form for 2025-2026 is now available, and President-Elect Rob Harrington will consider submitted forms when making committee appointments. For existing committee members, please complete a new form to express your interest in continuing to serve. When appointed to a committee, members are asked to serve a one-year term (July 1 – June 30). The deadline to submit a form is March 31.?Access the expression of interest form here.
NORTH CAROLINA BAR FOUNDATION
Help for Those Affected by Tropical Storm Helene
The North Carolina Bar Association and Foundation, in partnership with Pisgah Legal Services and Legal Aid of North Carolina, is seeking attorney volunteers for upcoming in-person Disaster Legal Services clinics.
These clinics are limited representation, brief advice and counsel clinics; there will be no continuing attorney/client relationship beyond the service provided the day of the clinic unless the volunteer attorney opts to accept the client for extended representation and assistance following the free clinic. Malpractice insurance coverage for the Disaster Legal Services program is provided through NCBA and NCBF.?
Members of the legal profession who may be struggling financially as a result of Tropical Storm Helene are encouraged to apply for support from the NCBF Jane B. Weathers Lawyers Helping Lawyers Fund. Applications are reviewed anonymously. The application deadline is March 15.?Apply today.?
