NCAA Grants Spring Athletes Extra Year of Eligibility

NCAA Men's and Women's Lacrosse players were given an extra year of eligibility yesterday. The Coronavirus terminated the rest of the 2020 College Lacrosse Season and each player will get an extra year of eligibility if he or she chooses. For seniors it's one last chance to play in the NCAA Tournament and win the National Championship. This is a landmark decision but a fair decision as well as the College Lacrosse Season was only 30% complete when the NCAA decided to cancel Spring Sports for the rest of the 2020 Season including all Spring Championships. There is still a long way to go before the 2021 College Lacrosse Season but now the Coaches can start to prepare knowing who will be eligible to play. I can't wait for the games to begin again.
