NCAA Coaching Opportunities

As I write this short blog, I can't possibly share the excitement and encouragement I've received from multiple NCAA Athletic Directors about the timing and purpose of our newest sister company, The Coaches Agency (www.thecoachesagency.com). The outpouring of support and interest from so many currently employed Coaches and Athletic Directors in hockey, basketball and football, has been fantastic.

We are on a path to building the largest, most respected and most credible searching firm for College and Pro Coaches in the world. What is equally as encouraging is that the laser focus and exclusivity of only working with Coaches during these critically important times is being recognized as a huge differentiator in our business model from traditional search firms who have simply added a "Sports" category to their offering. Most of us know and agree that the character make-up, personal brand positioning, past track record, integrity, and psyche of coaches couldn't be any more out of synch with candidates in a traditional management search.

We have brought the "search" process back to its pre-Internet roots when true outbound calling and "sourcing" candidates was done strategically and in a thoughtful way that resulted in proper "fit". We are also vigilant on background checks, past performance record checks and player feedback, which, as many have noticed and commented, is the recipe for success.
