NBL supports road safety campaign
Namibia Breweries Ltd (NBL) is proud to be part of the Ke-De Zemba Road Safety Campaign which was launched in Usakos, Erongo Region, by Event Medical Services. The campaign was launched under the theme “A better December for all”.
The road safety campaign is sponsored by NBL and other corporate partners including Pupkewitz Motors , Varta Namibia, and Radar Tyres.
Road safety campaigns during this time of year have become a critical intervention to save lives on the national road network. This campaign focuses on road safety awareness, improving emergency response, and educating the driver ? all aimed at achieving a reduction in road crashes, injuries and fatalities.
According to Jay-Marshall, the campaign Communications Officer and Assistant Projects Manager, "The festive season has started and we will have safety watch vehicles on the road between Arandis and Wilhelmdal with “Pit Stops”, where drivers can take rest, get a bottle of cold, refreshing AquaSplash water and get road safety tips, while enjoying some shade and nature."
At the launch Robin Rhode, Senior Brand Manager at NBL said: “The selection of Wilhelmsdal and Arandis as crucial locations to cover was strategically ingenious as these are the areas with the least amount of emergency services on hand.

The fact that you and your teams will be present here, means less travel time from base to accident sites, giving accident victims a second chance to life, at a time when every second counts.”
The state-of-the-art safety watch vehicles will be equipped with the necessary Medical Equipment, Road-Side Assistance Equipment, Traffic Control Equipment, Fire Extinguishers and Basic Rescue Kit and will be operated by a licensed driver with a qualified medic on board. "We know that our paramedics will get to the scenes where they are needed fast and safely.
“The success of this campaign lies in the hands of each and every road user. We all individually and collectively need to realise the devastating consequences of accidents. I would like to encourage every Namibian to make a personal contribution towards saving lives this festive season by pledging to obey traffic regulations and thereby taking personal responsibility for their own safety and the others on the roads,” said Jay-Marshall.
Kudos to all Partners, Sponsors, and the Traffic Department for pledging to make this stretch of road safer for all travellers this festive season.
