NBDC's GA Program is a Paid, Hands-On Opportunity to Grow Small Businesses

The program benefits both small business owners and graduate-level students.

Last week, two NBDC graduate assistants (GAs) received their diplomas! We're celebrating Matt West and Sidney Therkelsen for completing their MBAs. In addition to their coursework, they served as consultants for NBDC's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program. A paid position that also covers tuition, they received hands-on experience and met with clients, completed financial projections, crafted business plans, and conducted market research. The program also benefits Nebraska's small business owners by increasing our capacity to serve additional clients. NBDC GAs have gone on to full-time positions with us, and many others are now employed by our partner organizations, continuing to help Nebraska's businesses start, grow, and develop.

Congratulations Matt and Sidney!?

Serving Clients for the Full Life of Their Business

NBDC serves more than just start-ups - our services extend through growth and transition phases.

Many entrepreneurs come to us to help them get started, but we help business owners for the full life of their company.

Javier Trujillo Villa started working with NBDC when he was opening his first Javi's Tacos location - he now has several locations, and we have continued to work with him as he has opened several new restaurant concepts in Omaha.
