NBCC to Develop Satellite Township in Srinagar

The Srinagar Development Authority(SDA)has awarded a Rs 15000 crore contract to NBCC for developing a mega satellite township in Srinagar from concept to commissioning. The proposed township will come up over 400 acres, adjacent to the upcoming? Medicity and High Court Complex.
The greenfield satellite township will feature residential plots, luxury villas, apartment complexes, commercial office spaces, an indoor sports centre and a 200-key five-star resort. The project will incorporate about 3000 affordable housing units. Conceived as an environment-friendly township, it will meet high standards of sustainability with GRIHA/ IGBC certifications. Scheduled to be completed by 2030, the project will be developed in phases, the project will serve as the New Town Centre for Srinagar residents, besides being a major tourist attraction.
