NBA close this year with a new cup season

The NBA'77th edition starts october 24th with new tournament tip off november 3th until december 9th in a single-elimination championship.

The new format named "In-Seasson Tournament", will be played simultaneously with the regular season with 30 teams placed in two groups of five teams (West and East).

The NBA Cup tournament was inspired by the Europeans leagues and the football Knockout Rounds format , where there will be semifinal and finals repeatedly with straight elimination.

A Round Robin competition with a millioner award

The new NBA′s Cup released july 18th 2023, will count will a round robin competition with a straigh eliminations until reach the final. The winner of the In-season Tournamen will be granted a millonier award of 500.000 Us to each player , and 200.000 Us to runner-up team.

The results performanced in this championship will be take acount in the regular seasson, ruling out the final. It is worth to mentioning , that the games played in each group will be one matchup againts a franchise , being one as hoster and other one as visitor.

The best team standing in each group will move on to the quaterfinals, adn the best wild card ( the second spot), will play a Knockout Rounds to advance at the next stage.
