As the digital realm continually evolves, we, as marketers, find ourselves navigating through a sea of tools and platforms. One such discovery (the best one I feel) that reshaped my approach is ChatGPT, and I'd like to share this experience with fellow marketers and enthusiasts.
Embarking on a New Adventure:
Diving into ChatGPT felt like stepping into uncharted waters. It wasn't about commanding a tool; it was about engaging in a dialogue.
- Getting Acquainted: My initial interaction was straightforward: introducing it to the basics of a brand I had in hand. Surprisingly, this digital entity seemed eager to grasp, adapt, and advise.
- Deepening the Discussion: As we conversed more, our topics broadened. We explored diverse areas like revenue models, tech integrations, and TG and client behavior patterns. It was like having brainstorming sessions but with an AI!
P.s kept thinking if this was available 4 years ago when I was into execution and not managing, I’d have probably used it and made my own life easier considering everything.
Strategic Collaborations:
- Finding and Addressing Challenges: I could discuss specific challenges across different operational areas. It felt like a fresh pair of eyes, providing a different perspective on familiar issues.
- Joint Planning: Strategy formulation became a collective effort. While my human intuition and decision making played it’s part, AI helped structure all the insights and give more formatted output (compared to the khichdi of insights and information in my brain).
- Evolving Content Approaches: Crafting engaging content is always a priority, As a professional, I have great insights about customers, people, teams and clients but, crafting content differently for each group for the way they look at things or consume information is time consuming (thinking if this was self-promoting line, haha!). With ChatGPT's feedback, I noticed subtle shifts in content angles and narratives, making them more aligned with my audience’s preferences.
- From Numbers to Narratives: ChatGPT's prowess in data interpretation transformed complex metrics into comprehensible narratives, a boon for any marketer because let’s face it, how many times are going to be able to explain jargons like CPM, Clicks, CPC, CTR, Visits, Engagement Rate (yes, no bounce rate now), ECR, CPL, ROAS, ACOS, etcetraaa…..
- Streamlined Communication: Conveying insights became more effortless, thanks to the structured guidance it provided.
Reflections and Learnings (basic but I think these are impactful):
For those curious about integrating AI in their workflow:
- Nourish it with Knowledge: The richer the information you provide, the more nuanced its feedback becomes.
- Maintain Regular Updates: Just like you'd update a colleague on brand developments, keep ChatGPT in the loop. It thrives on context.
- Engage Holistically: It's not just about strategy. Dive into operational discussions, content brainstorming, or even process improvements.
- Follow one thread for each brand you are working on!
To conclude, marketing's beauty lies in its dynamism. Embracing new paradigms, like ChatGPT, is not just about staying updated; it's about enhancing our ability to connect, engage, and deliver.
