Navigating Uncertainty & Embracing Opportunity

I’ll be honest—there’s been so much happening in the world and across our nation that it’s been hard to focus on just one topic. This week’s?Department of Education layoffs, along with continued cuts in?big tech and corporate America, really give me pause.

For workers, there has long been an understanding that certain sectors—while perhaps less lucrative—offer more?stability. Government jobs have traditionally been one of those sectors. But that trust has been broken.

Having worked at the?city/county, state, and federal levels?in health policy, I’ve seen firsthand how government employees consistently do?more with less. Their ability to navigate bureaucracy, solve complex problems, and drive impact—often with limited resources—is a?dream skill set?for nonprofits and companies that truly?value their employees.

Strengthening Nonprofits in a Time of Change

As a consultant, I’m honored to work with nonprofits to?bolster operations, strengthen leadership, and increase capacity to do good. One of the organizations I am thrilled to support is?Treasures, a?faith-based, survivor-led, trauma-informed?nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of?exploit*tion and tr*fficking in the commercial s*x industry.

Founded in 2003 by?Harmony Dust, Treasures provides survivors with?care, resources, and community?to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
