Navigating Success

Navigating Success

What does land navigation have to do with finding success at the workplace? A lot, actually.?

Land navigation is the process of getting from one place to another.?

In order for Soldiers to successfully get from one point to another, we need a direction and a distance.?

In order for us to successfully achieve our goal, we need clear guidance and resources.

Success can be difficult when we don’t have all the information. If a team member lacks a full understanding, or if they lack the resources they need to do the job, they may struggle.

So, if there is any failure, if a team member was unsuccessful navigating a task or project, we as leaders have to ask ourselves if we had any role in that failure. Have we given them the two things they need to succeed??

Clear instructions?& Resources

If we haven’t set up our team for success and they fail, not only do we own the responsibility for their failure, but it’s on us to make things right.?
