Salvador Mi?arro has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Mr. Mi?arro is the Chief Executive Officer of Darnel Group, a global leader in the production of high-quality, food-grade sustainable packaging solutions and a pioneer in post-consumer recycled material. Prior to the Darnel Group, Mr. Mi?arro was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Vitro Automotive and also held executive positions in operations, sales and finance at Libbey, Inc. Mr. Mi?arro has an executive MBA from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas, a master’s degree in finance from University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial Engineer from Inst. Naomi Kent , Managing Director at Felix, sat down with Salvador to ask him a few questions:?

Tell us about yourself?

I was born and raised in Mexico, and I have held diverse positions In Latin America and the USA. Throughout my career, I have been in the following roles: CFO, Sales, Marketing, Operations, General Management, and finally my CEO role at Darnel Group. I have also operated in very diverse industries such as Automotive, Consumer Products Manufacturing and Packaging.

What are you passionate about?

Life is short! I am passionate about using time purposefully to grow, make a positive impact, and also to be happy and to make my family proud.

What inspired you to serve on boards?

"I see the increased interconnectedness between US and Mexico manufacturing supply chains which has only accelerated with more recent nearshoring trends. I know I can contribute and make a positive impact to both companies and the community by serving on boards that are trying to optimize an Americas manufacturing footprint.
