PROJECT MANAGEMENT

I believe we can approach every aspect of life like a project. Of course, most of the time we don’t have a big budget or a large team to manage, but we always need to consider scope, time, and cost. That’s why I think everyone should understand the basics of project management. I’ve selected this excellent course to help you build a solid foundation in Project Management and gain essential knowledge.

SCRUM AND TEAM WORKING

One of the key responsibilities of a Scrum Master is to remove impediments. But what happens when a team member becomes the impediment? This can be a delicate issue.

As this article explains, there’s a common misconception that Scrum Masters can’t take action in such cases. However, the reality is more nuanced. While a Scrum Master doesn’t directly "remove" people from the team, they can facilitate conversations and involve the right stakeholders to resolve the issue.

The focus should always remain on maintaining a healthy, collaborative environment where the team can thrive. In such situations, how do you approach this challenge in your team? How have you navigated these conversations?

This post explores that question and suggests five alternatives, considering the context and situations where they would be applied. STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP

The Blue Ocean Strategy article from Harvard Business Review introduces the concept of creating uncontested market space, or "blue oceans," to avoid direct competition ("red oceans"). The idea is to make the competition irrelevant by focusing on innovation and value creation, opening up new market opportunities. Instead of competing in existing industries, businesses can pursue untapped markets where there is little or no competition. The strategy emphasizes differentiation and low cost to capture new demand.
